Congrats to Isaac Matti, who scored his 2000th career point tonight!! 2nd player in school history to achieve the milestone (David Johnson, 2005 grad with 2468 career points). He scored 27 (with 13 reb, 8 ast) in the 77-58 win. Pack with 25, Jacobson 10, Fjerstad 7, Thoe 6.

Heartbreaking end to an unbelievable season tonight. The boys battled #1 seed Spring Grove for 36 minutes and got beat by 2 on a buzzer-beater. To go from 5-23 last year to 24-5 this year was a remarkable turnaround. Credit to the players no doubt!!

Mason Tapp’s All-Star team that went 2-0 on the weekend( won 154-129 and 133-131). He played well, averaging just under 20 points a game and winning his teams dunk contest. Most importantly, he had a great time. Congrats Mason for being recognized as one of the top seniors of ‘19

Clinched a share of the Gopher Conference title tonight with a 63-55 win at Maple River. We were down 33-22 at the half and had a big comeback. Hats off to Maple River for playing a great game!! 22-4 finish to the regular season. Will host a Section game Thursday at 7.

What I witnessed after the game is the true meaning of the impact sports can have on people. There were many tears shed and so many hugs. Memories have been made and will last a lifetime. Friendships formed that are unbreakable. All brought about by the games these people played!
